Hot Stone Bath Tour

Hot Stone bath commonly known as Dotsho has been an important part of Bhutanese family life and most common hydrotherapy to cure various diseases for centuries. It’s healing properties for body, mind and soul is highly valued by Bhutanese people.

A fire is made to heat the stones over a long period of time and when it is red-hot the stones are slowly dipped into a small wooden bathtub filled with clean mountain water. The stones are dipped into a small compartment to protect you from direct contact with red-hot stones. We Bhutanese believe that the heat and the minerals released from the cracking stones benefits our joints, hypertension, stomach disorders, arthritis and many more.
