Dragon tour is a short tour but if you wish to visit as many sights as you can then please ask our guide to do so. He/she will have to inform Ola Tours and Trek once and then Ola Tours and Trek will suggest you with whatever possible sights you can visit at your given time. In Dragon tour you will visit Paro valley at 2400 meters above the sea level which hosts the only International airport in the country. Dragon tour can let you see beautiful snow capped Mountains around. The visit to Taktsang monastery is spectacular. 54 km away from Paro is Thimphu, the Capital city of Bhutan. The only capital city in the world that has no traffic lights, it a small city also the host to the tallest statue of sitting Buddha in the world.
Dragon tour Day 01
Arrive at Paro (2400 meters) – Thimphu (54 km, 1.5 hrs.):
You will be received by the Representative from Ola Tours and Trek at the airport and drive to Thimphu. On the way, view Tamchog Lhakhang.
After lunch, visit to: • Memorial Chorten – built in 1974 in the memory of Bhutan’s third King, His Late Majesty King Jigme Dorji Wangchuk. • Changangkha Monastery- It is a fortress like temple and monastic school perched on a ridge above Thimphu, south of Motithang. • Takin Preserve centre – The Takin is the national animal of Bhutan, and looks like a cross between a cow and a goat. • Sangay Gang view point – It is the view point and in fact the best place for photographers.

Dragon tour Day 02. Thimphu – Paro: (Altitude 2320 m, Distance 58 km, Drive Time 1.5 hour):
After breakfast, visit to: • Buddha Point (Kuensel Phodrang) – visitors can get a good overview of the Thimphu valley from the Buddha point (Kuensel Phodrang). • National Library – The history of Bhutan lies imprinted in archaic texts, which are preserved at the National Library. • Painting School – Commonly known as Arts & Crafts School or Painting School, the Institute offers a six-year course on the 13 traditional arts and crafts of Bhutan. • Folk Heritage Museum – It is dedicated to connect people to the Bhutanese rural past through exhibits, demonstrations, educational programs and documentation of rural life.
After lunch, drive to Paro and visit to: • Ta dzong (National Museum) – watch tower built to defend Rimpung Dzong during inter-valley wars of the 17th century, since 1967 Ta Dzong is serving as the National Museum of the country. • Rimpung Dzong (Paro Dzong) – built in 1646 by Zhabdrung Ngawang Namgyal , the first spiritual and temporal ruler of Bhutan • Farm House (traditional village house) – Bhutanese farm houses are very colorful, decorative and traditionally built without the use of single nail.

Dragon tour Day 03. Paro sightseeing: (Altitude 2400 m).
After breakfast, visit to:
• Drukgyel dzong – built in 1646 by Zhabdrung Ngawang Namgyal to commemorate his victory over the Tibetan invaders. The glory of Drukgyel Dzong remained even when it was destroyed by fire in 1951. • Kyichu Lhakhang – the oldest and most sacred shrines of the Kingdom dating back to 7th century (the other is Jambay Lhakhang in Bumthang). • Excursion to Taktsang Monastery (Tiger’s Nest) – one of the most famous of Bhutan’s monasteries, perched on the side of a cliff 900m above the Paro valley floor.
